Corrections policy

We investigate reported errors promptly. Our policy has three parts:

  1. Confirm. When you report an error, we check it against the source material before changing anything.
  2. Correct visibly, never silently. A confirmed error is fixed in the article text with a visible note appended at the top of the body: Correction (YYYY-MM-DD): …. The original error is not scrubbed from the record.
  3. Log the material ones. Errors that change the meaning of a piece get an entry in the public corrections log below.

The updated date on a corrected article moves to the date of the correction, and search-engine metadata reflects it.

How to report an error

The fastest route is editors@subtopikal.com or the contact page. To help us fix it quickly, include:

  • the article URL,
  • what you believe is wrong, and
  • the source you are relying on, if you have one.

A real person reads this address. We reply to every report, usually within two business days.

Public corrections log

No logged corrections yet. When a material error is fixed, it will be recorded here with the date, the article, and what changed.
